The acquisition marks a clear strategic move to strengthen Nefab’s position in Denmark and the rest of the Nordic region – both commercially and technologically within sustainable fiber-based packaging solutions.
There are three clear synergies in the acquisition:
- Portfolio expansion
FARUSA adds specialized heavy-duty corrugated solutions that complement Nefab’s existing material mix. - Local market strength
The acquisition increases Nefab’s presence in the Nordics and enhances its ability to serve local customers through regional production and delivery setups. - Sustainability agenda
Fiber-based solutions support the transition toward more circular packaging systems and lower resource consumption across supply chains.
Strengthening Nefab’s Nordic Position
With the acquisition, Nefab Group strengthens its position as a supplier of complete packaging and logistics solutions. At the same time, the Group expands its portfolio within fiber-based solutions, which is increasingly important as sustainability and resource optimization gain momentum across global supply chains.
The acquisition is also part of Nefab’s broader strategy to invest in solutions that reduce environmental impact and resource consumption in customers’ value chains.
Looking ahead, as the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) is implemented and enforced from August 2026, and as customer requirements and focus on CO₂ and material usage intensify, fiber-based transport packaging will become an increasingly important part of industrial products’ overall sustainability profile—especially in the Nordics, where the export industry is strong and demands for robust transport solutions are high.
